Formerly Imagine Church located in Burwood and headed up by Ps Melinda Dwight, Edge Church Melbourne recently underwent a full renovation. The auditorium is essentially an old warehouse building, complete with 'saw tooth' style roof. The renovation included the whole internal structure being completely refurbished.

The auditorium presented some interesting challenges, most notably with its considerably low roof in places. Selection and placement of suitable speaker elements was of course very crucial to the audio coverage. The need for power was reduced by the implementation of as much LED lighting as possible. This included LED fixtures for stage colour wash & effects as well as LED profile moving lights. A nice side benefit being a reduction of heat in the overhead stage space.

With a mixture of in-ear monitors & monitor wedges all run from the one mixing console at front of house, the Digico SD9 was chosen for its ease of use, exceptional sound quality & features, plus future expandability.

The overall result of the complete installation gives the auditorium a completely new look, feel and sound. It's a great result for one of Edge's smaller churches. We predict that it won't be long before there are multiple Sunday services and its bursting at the seams.
